Abachi Core Table Tennis Blades

Abachi is widespread in table tennis blade construction (often under several trade names, such as Samba or Ayous).
The majority of old blades will have the core made out of this wood.
ULMO blades differ from these mass productions in the composition of the veneers, the kind of glue, and the pressing. Furthermore, most manufacturers only use high-quality saw-veneers in their production.

Abachi Classic ALLROUND

ULMO developed the Abachi Classic ALL for all-round players looking for an easy to control blade without Balsa or fiber materials. Its main appeal is its high degree of control that makes it suitable for all all-round playing styles.

This blade is constructed symmetrically, with an Abachi core and Limba outer veneers. The company uses a traditional, more labour-intensive technique for making this blade. It gives it the extra bits of precision and control that have helped make it one of their most popular products.

ULMO manufacture the Abachi Classic ALL with a customized, slightly bigger blade to optimize control by choosing the perfect center of gravity. Hence, this blade is on the heavier side with 85g.

It suits all playing styles and rubbers ranging from no sponge to 2.1mm.

Abachi Classic Carbon Off

With the Abachi Classic Carbon Off supplements ULMO blades for the first time, his assortment of a carbon blade developed. Apart from the typical play characteristics of a carbon blade, also unique value was put on a small weight.

Using “Light carbon”, this blade plays itself somewhat more rigidly than the ULMO of models without carbon – however, by the small weight of the used carbon layers, this Blade keeps its good feedback despite the somewhat more rigid feeling.

For a carbon blade of this speed category, the Abachi Classic Carbon Off is relatively light in weight. For offensive players, who wish to have a dynamic play, the Abachi Classic Carbon Off would be an ideal alternative.

Abachi Spin ALL+

The blade offers the necessary dynamics and spin if one is an aggressive and variable Allrounder.

The symmetrically developed Abachi Spin ALL+ consists of 3 layers of high-quality Abachi sawing veneers in the core and Limba cover veneers. By the Limba, the veneer supports the play with rotations of all kinds and has a somewhat softer notice feeling.

Only a standard sheet manufactured blade can be very variable used, captivates however in all situations with very high control. Due to the low weight of 80g and the excellent feedback, this blade offers excellent play characteristics with linings from 1,8mm to maximum.

Abachi Seven Off-

ULMO developed an alternative that makes a variant-rich attack play possible with much spin for the offensively oriented attack player, who wants a controlled speed-flexible blade. With this blade structure without carbon, fiber materials and Balsa, it used a new veneer combination.

Thus the Abachi Seven Off offers improved feedback, whereby you receive optimal control in all game situations. Due to the perfect control, this blade is suitable also for the aggressive Allrounder.

The symmetrically developed Abachi Seven off consists of 5 Abachi layers as core veneer and also optically much the decorative Zebrano veneer as the surface layer. The used Zebrano veneer supports the play with spin and produces sufficient speed, nevertheless with the offensive play.

This only as standard sheet manufactured blade that would like to be played offensively. All the same, whether at the table or from the half distance – this blade offers outstanding control paired with outstanding spin options.

ULMO tests recommend combining this wood preferentially with vario or spin offense rubber from 1,8mm to maximum. The weight of 85g also permits when using thicker sponge strengths still another pleasant handling.

TT-Blade Safety Def+

The Safety Def+ offers the necessary speed reserves and dynamics for attacks; without the modern defense, a player cannot exist anymore when defensive players with pimps inside and defense strategist, who uses handy or smooth “long pims” you with the Safety Def+ are always on the safe side.

The Safety Def+ differs from other defensive blades by an unusual wood structure; contrary to what the other manufacturers used, 9 veneer layers were used. The core of the asymmetrically developed Safety Def+ consists of Abachi.

A Limba veneer is used for the front side, and the backside, a nut tree veneers. This proven combination makes an outstanding spin development possible by the hard backside veneer during a somewhat higher ball jump. On the front side, the softer Limba veneer offers the conditions for a variable rotation play with Topspin and backspin in the defense, with excellent control and sufficient speed reserves for intermediate impacts.

The preferential district of this blade manufactured as a large sheet is a defensive behind the table. It unfolds its full potential only there – all the same, whether in the defensive or with active Topspin and intermediate impacts. The blade offers outstanding control with these impacts paired with much spin!

Despite the 9-layer structure of veneer, the Safety Def+ is, however, nevertheless no heavyweight. As a large sheet, the blade weighs only approx. 80g. Due to the lightweight of the defense blade in the conventional building method without Balsa, it is also for a player who prefers thicker strengths of the coating or Chinese rubber on the first option uses because of its pleasant handling an alternative.
