More Information About Butterfly Gergely Carbon
Gergely Carbon is another legendary offensive weapon from Butterfly. Its name is derived from a famous Hungarian table tennis player “Gábor Gergely”.
This racket is well known for its monstrous speed that comes with a comparatively lower price than other upmarket offensive blades (under $100). Usually, the Butterfly super fast blades, such as Butterfly Amultart or Butterfly Schlager, will cost a lot more.
Physically Butterfly Gergely Carbon is made from very high-quality material with fantastic design and finish, but it is a bit heavy (93 g). The surface is pretty hard and not that flexible, which is pretty standard for a very aggressive blade to maximize its speed and power.
In terms of speed, this blade is rock. It can generate phenomenal power, especially when paired with fast and thick rubbers like the Butterfly Tenergy series. Therefore, this blade is superb for a killer smash or fast counter block. Gergely Carbon is the best for an aggressive player who loves to play at mid to far distance.
Regarding control, even though Butterfly Gergely is not the best blade in this area, it offers you compromisingly fine control for the super-fast blade. Its controllability is better than other aggressive blades like Butterfly Amultart, Butterfly Schlager, or even Butterfly Primorac Carbon.
Besides, it allows you to perform fast blocks with exceptionally high precision, especially if you are a skilled player.

My Experience with Butterfly Gergely Carbon Blade
The ball’s speed is really fast, and I do not feel tired, even after swinging multiple times. When the blade touches the ball, it feels so “crisp” and thorough for me. The feeling is difficult to describe, but overall I feel good about it!
This blade is unlike my Innerforce ALC blade, in which the hitting feel is very hard and has a metallic sound. The combination of elasticity and speed is perfect for the Gergely blade.
According to how I play, I always feel that the balls I shot tend to be a little high, I feel I need to speed up the action, and I need to improve it with this new blade.
I use the Yasaka Rakza 7
I feel I can easily control the ball, and the blade can play really fastball. When I play the drive in mid-distance, the loop of the ball is very low and flat. I feel like its just rubbing off the net and past through.
But because the elasticity is too strong, it is easy to drive the ball without much strength, and I feel so wonderful with this blade.
The loop of the ball is too long. I found an interesting phenomenon. I often thought that the ball that I blocked and returned to the opponent’s side should be out of bounds, but I didn’t expect it to fall on the edge table.
It’s almost rubbing the edge, and maybe the ball will go down when it’s fall on the table. The forehand is very satisfied. Whether I am looping or hitting the ball, I can feel it is very powerful.
When I hit the ball, it fully reflects the speed and strength of the carbon blade. If I add a little more power, the ball can be fiercely flying over to the opponent’s table.
It seems that the speed of the Yasak Rakza 7
But by putting on the Rakza 7, it has an excellent ability to catch the ball. It can make the ball to cross to the opponent’s table easily with just a gentle drive. I feel good about it.
Even though Butterfly Gergely comes with quite a hard surface and less dwell time, it still performs exceptionally well in the spin area, especially when paired with a soft
Overall this is one of the most reliable blades for very aggressive players with reasonable price. It is almost the perfect choice for an advanced player who loves smashing.
