Palio Master 2 Table Tennis Bat Review

The Palio Master 2 is the improved version bat from its predecessor Palio Master. It is a premade table tennis racket designed to help improve playing skills of intermediate ping pong players.

The blade has been redesigned to give players better power and feeling. The rubber has remained unchanged from the previous version, which is the brilliant Palio CJ8000 that you can find on both sides of the blade.

If you have been playing table tennis for some time and are looking for a bat that can offer you better speed and spin, you can take a look at this Palio Master 2 bat.

The Blade

The wood used to construct the Palio Master 2 blade is redesigned to improve fairness and quality. It is an enhanced version of the Palio Master.

The bat can offer you power when taking your shot, but at the same time, you will still have reasonable control. By having more control, it allows you to play with greater accuracy.

The Rubber

The quality of brilliant Palio CJ8000 rubbers is excellent. It is made with an improved sponge which can give you better quality and a faster feel. For this level of the bat, you will find that it provides you with excellent tackiness. What I can say is that the rubbers are worth the price.

However, due to its tackiness, the rubber tends to attract a lot of dust on it. You will need to clean the rubber sheet frequently to play a fair game.

One thing you can do to prevent dust sticking on the rubber is using a sticky cover. It can help to avoid dust and to protect the rubber very well.

One good thing about this bat is the rubber is replaceable. Once you feel that the rubber does not offer a good hit of the ball, you can replace it with a new one, and you can regain your playing stroke.

The Handle

The Palio Master 2 features a flared handle. It feels very comfortable to hold it in your hand. But after playing for some time, you may need to use sandpaper to sand down the handle a bit so that you can have a better grip.

Speed

The bat gives an excellent crisp sound when you first touch the ball with the bat. It responds very fast and has good speed. You will find it is a quicker bat than other rackets that are at the same level as the Killerspin Jet 600.

You may need some time to adjust your playing stroke to get used to it. But once you get familiar with the bat, it can offer you outstanding speed, improving your playing stroke.

Spin

You can have the stickiness that you want if you are playing with heavy spin. You can feel the spin and pace that the bat generates.

Control

The more prominent sweet spot with this bat offers you reasonable control. It can give you the power that you need to keep the ball always bouncing on the table. You can have better control of the ball even when you strike hard.

Weight

The shipping weight of this bat is approximately 259 g. It is slightly heavier in comparison to the Butterfly 401 bat.

Price

The price of this bat is about $45. It is excellent value for money, as other similar bats may cost you more money. It is a few dollars cheaper than the Legend 2. However, if you don’t mind spending a few more dollars, you can get a better bat with your money.

Palio Master 2 Bat

Pros:

  • The bat can offer you excellent spin.
  • The weight is just right.
  • Very well balanced.

Cons:

  • The handle will need to sand down for comfort grip.
  • The bounce is not that ideal. You may get a lot of balls going off the table when you first use the bat.
  • The rubber is tacky, and it can collect a lot of dust. You will need to clean it very often.

Overall

The Palio Master 2 is an excellent all-round ping pong bat. All I can say is that this table tennis bat is a good practice bat that can offer players with good speed and control. It is ideal for beginners and intermediate players.

The grip is better than other premade rackets. The durability of the bat is also outstanding.

The bat may not give you sufficient power, but it will provide you with more control. Because of this, you can make a more accurate drop on the table of the opponent’s side.

After playing for some time, the rubber may fall off from the blade. If this happens, you need to use some glues to fix the rubber back.

When you purchase this racket, it comes with a free case, saving you money from buying a case.

This is a quality bat that you can get from Palio. The bat is available at Amazon where you can buy it at your convenience.
